A new diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine imaging centre located at Warners Bay NSW Australia

Newcastle Nuclear Medicine imaging service has been available to patients since 22nd May 2008.

Newcastle Nuclear Medicine is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and will provide the highest quality nuclear medicine imaging and a full range of diagnostic scans, as well as therapy with iodine 131.

In addition, SPECT-CT imaging is available in order to facilitate anatomical localisation. The GE Hawkeye-4™ SPECT-CT system allows accurate anatomical localisation without a high radiation dose exposure to patients. It has been shown to be of great general benefit, but particularly in oncology and general orthopedics, as well as improving the specificity of myocardial perfusion imaging.

Mostly there is no waiting time for appointments and a same-day service is provided where possible.

Our Warners Bay location is central to patients in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions but the highly trained and caring staff will ensure that patients who travel from longer distances will also receive the care and attention that warrants such travel.
